The Vardo
The term "vardo" refers to a traditional nomad caravan, which has historical roots tracing back to northern India around the 10th century. This unique form of transport became emblematic of the nomad way of life. The vardo served not only as a mobile home but also as a lifestyle symbol and connection of artistic expressions.
It all started while our home was a old truck on wheels, during that time the need of sharing the creations and the desire of living from the handcrafted jewels was the connection to the knowledge of the origins of our lifestyle. While reading about the first groups of people who were united by the love of music, adventures and travels, we discovered the Vardos and that's how it became the name of our Brand.
The artistry involved in our creations is often reflective of the intricate designs and tribal shapes found in the adornments of these traditional caravans.
For instance, the incorporation of natural elements such as and metal and gems can create a harmonious blend that reflects the beauty of our culture.
In conclusion, the vardo is not merely a historical artifact but a living symbol of the nomadic culture. We create pieces that not only serve as accessories but also tell a story of heritage, resilience, and artistry.
